hey guys,
just need some info on thin white wall tyres.
Are these tyres bought this way? or is some sort of strip or paint. I saw some on a bay today and the tyres were kingstar, they looked great but I don't think they were bought this way.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers.
TJ
They can be painted on to existing tyres. Ask around tyre places and old car workshops.

Just done the exercise myself. You can buy BF Goodrich (usa) with a 3/4" stripe in 165x15 from Antique Tyres in Melbourne for less than $200 each, or you can have the stripe etched into your tyre, (in your fav colour), for about $25 a tyre.
Couldn't find any other tyre in VW sizes with a stripe.

Just be wary regarding the Spray on walls....just have to graze a kerb and no more whitewall....Hence don't let mates/girlfriends/dad drive or you WILL be sorry :P
They also tend to fade yellow and need to be redone at least once a year to look decent.
If your going to run 165x15 - go the Goodrich Whitewalls

I had the Atlas flaps on my Michelin xzx's.
I bought them back from the U.K.
I know you can buy them here.
Most people seem normal, till you get to know them.
Thanks guys for your help!!
I will have to find someone here in brizzy that does it.
Cheers again.
