Wanted: late bumpers in brissy

Hi,

At some stage in the move i lost/had stolen from me alot of VW items. Most werent a big problem, as they were things that were spare...or I could lay my hands on pretty easy. BUT

I had 6 bumpers (3 sets) and some have vanished...and I dont have a matching pair left. And an even bigger problem i have is that Edith is ready to be rego'd but needs bumpers to do it.

The guy doing the RWC said so, so please don't hassle me to tell me he's wrong. I'm too tired to fight it. He plain and simply said, no bumpers no rwc.

Anyway, I need late model bumpers for a 1970 standard beetle. Prefer they be in Brissy, cause I dont have time to race all over the coasts to grab them. I could if it was a weekend, but im trying to get her to the road THIS week not next (if at all possible)

They don't have to be perfect, but the better condition the happier I'll be. (better chance of not being hassles at RWc or RTA>

So if u have some, or know where I can get some without paying an arm and leg for them (happy to donate children to the cause) please let me know...

Also, if u have some, please let me know a price, condition & where u are. And a way to contact u....do it by u2u if u want.

I have a set in Mt. Crosby if you like. They are pretty ordinary and need re-chroming and need a little bit of straightening but they can be yours for nicks if you want them.

may take u up on the offer if i have nothing still when she heads to mechanics..and the rwc.

I'm not overly fussed on coniditon because i knwo I can source something better later if need be. or just get them straigtened n rechromed.

They just need to suit a 1300 standard 1970 beetle.
