if u guys have a chance to buy , what would u choose early or late beetles.
cheers, Jay
i'd go early...i already got two late ones.
dubless. 🥲
🥷 And who the helled parked the Mitsubishi "Prancer" under my house??? 🥷
Early all the way, so much better looking in my opinion. More-so if it was an oval.
Depends on what ya want it for. Daily driver, a seventy's 12 volt irs is much better. If ya want something for a bit of fun get a fifty's or sixtys Beetle.

i`m with Robo , have a six volt early and as its only used 2 to 3 times a month can be a pain because the battery goes flat😬 but she sure is a lot of fun to drive in and the looks that you get are priceless

in the beginning, the universe was created.
this made alot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.

12 Volt Conversion, CSP Wide 5 Discs all round and IRS man, it`s the way to go!!
have an early (57) and a late late (03)... love em both.
see.... air and water do mix 😉
1974 1300
1997 MK3 Golf GL
2003 NB Cabrio
2012 Golf VI GTI
2014 Audi A4 Quattro
I like the mechanicals of the lates, big engine bays, 12 volts, better door locks, etc etc.
But I like the looks of the earlier models, long bonnet, wide 5 wheels,

I've finally registered my '67 bug last week.. Had a ball driving round the neighbourhood the last few days.. Down to the shops, pick son from tennis.. down to the club..
I must admit though, I think that is all it will be used for (a runabout).. Until son starts driving then I guess it will be a daily driver for a while..
Years ago, I drove a 1303 after having early 60's beetles.. Luxury in comparison.. better all round ride but too much plastic.. the old style has style 😉
I love my 74 L model Superbug... I like the little things like the elephants foot tail lights, curved windscreen and padded dash! She's my baby! :blush

2016 Scirocco R: "Rocco"
i love my 1302 sbug so much i got 3 of them now

Early all the way. I''m only on my first bug but I searched for ages to get a '60's model. Not too keen on the late models. Don't like the squarer bumpers and the short bonnet.

Why all the questions nube....???
With a grand total of 5 posts and at least 2 threads started about basically the same subject, you should just come out and ask the question......
"Will people still talk to me if I buy a New Beetle".....😂
Will you be filling out your profile soon...???🥷
I hate to admit it, but man, I think you're right....

whats real interesteing is that no one even paid slight consideration to LATE late beetles... :P wasnt even considered in any reply yet.
Simply Cruzin'...
Race car- Super
Daily driver - Super
Drag Car - Early
Cool, cruise type car- Early
I like the shape of both. the later can look meaner, but so can the early.
I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!

C'mon Barry, you know you want to. :thumb:thumb
For me, I love the smoothness of the earlies, but being a habitual hypocrite, am driving a 1303 Cab at the mo.

Definitely love 70's Beetles, I love my PBB! :P
New Beetles are nice: a Cabrio in the Icy Blue-Silver colour, all options, full leather, turbo-ed.....
If I had a choice between an early or late AND they were both in good condition or at least the same condition as each other I would go for the early but life really sucks because you never seem to have an opportunity like that in real life.....or in my life at least that is, married, 3 kids, a mortgage. Oh God someone kill me!!

the earlier the sweeter, nice lines, nice style.. and rarer!
It's comes down to what you like. I never really liked the early bugs until recently! I have a 68 that I have been restoring which will be great for the next few years and then I will buy an oval. I love the look of the ovals now by far, but my 68 comes close!!! 😀😍
68's for me
stuck in limbo between early and late 👍
but my dream bug is 62 sunroof running erco's and a big stroker motor
68 Beetle - rebuilding 😵💫
65 beetle - driving 😎
yep, early for me but i like late as well....
its the bumpers on the lates that i dont like(bent c channel)
