Little question on the marvel inverse oiler used in conjuction with the judson supercharger setup. I have one set up and close to running and just wanted to know what oil could be used obviously marvels mystery oil is the recommended oil (cant i get it in aus.) but surely by now with the developements in the oils threr must be an alternative or a better product out their. I know there are other judson nuts out there what do you use were can i get it. I appreciate any help i can get with this one as the turning of the key could be only hours away once i get the oiler sorted.

Are you aware of this judson register?

Should have the info you need, have a good look around.
Given we only have ULP these days, probably an upper cylinder lube would be more appropriate these days any way??

synthetic 2 stroke oil is one thing or I have been told you can also use automatic transmission fluid and it looks the same as the mystery oil

The best and cheapest oil to use is Automatic Transmisson Fluid, its actually 10 grade which is what Marvels Mystery oil is.

If you look on the Judson web site Q&A section you will read my letters.

Ive been using it for years.

The oil does 3 things.

1. Lubricates the sliding vanes in the rotor

2. acts a a seal between the vane and the Judson Blower wall

3. Acts as an upper cyclinder lubricant

Before you start it up make sure you squirt some ATF down the carby to start the lubriction process and turn the needle adjusting screw all the way out so you get maxium flow for a few minutes. You may burn the vanes if you dont do this.

After its the engine is running you can turn the needle screw in to get the correct adjustment

All of my posts have been helpful. I have either given the good information or in this case the good oil or have loosened the panties of some uptight people or have tightened those of some geese.
I was going to join the Democrats to keep the bastards honest, but joined the forum instead.
