? Clear covering for paint

I looking for some clear covering for the steps on my mistres ( trike ) the steps are painted 2 pack & I dont wish to scratch the paint work up .Is there a clear covering like may be 3M make ?

yep neil, go a dirtbike shop, they have thick clear 3m stuff to cover your race numbers and wear points on frame.

once i also found some thickish contact stuff on a roll from a signwriters. not as thick as the dirtbike stuff but cheaper and not precut.

there is a product called 'Bodyguard'. comes in clear and black

"10mil clear film with a permanent acrylic adhesive. Exceptional clarity and abrasion resistance.

Commonly used as a protective film to prevent stone chips and scratching."

any signwriter will be able to order it in for you, its about $40 a square metre, comes in 1m wide rolls..
