GN250 They were a good solid little bike in their day, but they all seem to have very worn out motors now. Most of them blow smoke. They are usually going for around $1600-$2000 for an average condition one.
For the same price it seems there are a a few Honda CB or CM 250's out there and they are a rock solid motor. I have seen clutches go in them quite often, but at least that's not to expensive to fix.
The Yamaha XV250 or Virago is a top machine with a great motor, but expect $3000 for a good one.
Thanks Helbus , I see a Yamaha xv250 s on the web , 7,600 ks for 5K , is this good for a 02 ?

I rode a Virago for 7 years as daily transport and put 78000 k's on it and the only servicing I ever did was oil, filters, tyres, brakes and a couple of chains. When I sold it it passed RWC and bike shop mechanical inspection engine was sweet no worries. It was a 91 model I sold in 98. I have gotta say I honestly believe they are a very solid bike, and I am 6 foot tall so I was pushing it all the way.
I sold mine for $3400 back then. It was mint without a scratch or chip though.
The only fault they have is the voltage regulators on earlier models blow quite easily. Mine went through three of those until I put a second hand Kawasaki one with aluminium cooling fins on.
I see , thank you for the info
I know you fixed the ding & scratch , come on mr paint man .
