The wheels and a $30 tool box are really quite a good deal. Do some sums - Compound interest on $200 (4 wheels) over 30 or 40 years. Do the same calculation with the $30 toolbox over 50 years! For the calculation assume 7% interest! Pick a lower interest rate if you like. But you should also consider numerous other value adding factors. If I had a spare 3g's I would jump at the wheels! I have a toolkit which cost me about 7% over 50 years on the quoted original price. I was very happy with the price I paid. Even happier now that I did the calculation!DUBB61 wrote:that is correct
we do not understand why youse do not understand that that sum of money is alot of $ for a non original set of steel wheels that were originally a $50 per wheel option when first offered to the public. the wheels are very nice and collectable but for those dollars it opens up a whole lot of nice VW options. good luck with sale both here and on samba.( i do not also understand how a $30 spare wheel tool kit is now worth a $1000+ but so be it)
killakornkobb where's that clutch?

How can they be original when they have been ceramic coated???
It would be like getting a set of BRM copies , painting them pink and calling them rare??
