Oval W engine lid for sale $300

The lid is totally rust free and in original worn out paint
the bad
the engine lid spring plate is broken and would need a repair easy job to do. You can use a 60's lid inner as they're the same easy to come by to

As you can see the spring plate needs repair (between the hinges)

Looks like it is for a 54 as the spring plate that is missing is the broader type.
You may have to replace the whole section if you wanted to do a perfect job for a later Oval.
Just passing the info on for other lovers.

Your right it could be from a 54. Chances are that whoever buys this will already have a really rusty lid and would use the top section from there lid and weld that into it. This is what I would of done. Apart from that is a really good in the rust department and would be a cheap way of getting a nice replacement W lid.
