Hi all, just wondering if we should have a type4 engine and type1 engines section on here, there is the non-vw engine section, but sections on just the type4 and type 1 engines would be a good thing in my opinion, I'm not intersted in putting a H2O engine in my dub, but more talk about vw aircooled engines would be great, tell us what you think. Thankyou Damien.
This is my Volkswagen, there are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me my Volkswagen is useless, without my Volkswagen, I am useless.

It is good on thesamba if you want to talk engines you go to the engines & performance section. Not a bad point since we already have a paint section etc, tech is very general if you're looking for something on engines. It is a pretty important part of the car IMO.

Just think if we had an engines section someone could re-ignite the stroker vs non stroker debate, what fun that would be!!!!!

If you pay attention, you'll find that the 1300, 1500 and 1600 engines are plainly all FACTORY stroked alternatives of the 25hp, 36hp and 1200 engines. :P

Sorry couldn't help myself. I'll be good for a while again now. 🤘

Yup that's common with just about every manufacturer. I'm talking the 69 crank (ie 1916 max) vs 78, 82, 84, 86 etc debate that's gone on and on before.
