Another issue finished - I can join the living again and greet the sun.

A preview is up an running at:

http://www.vwma.net.au

I really enjoyed the Kombi control tower story from SA. It's amazing the conversion that was done by the RAAF and how it was used. Also, the Kombis crossing the desert was very inspiring. I do admire those with the courage to attempt something like this.

Issue#9 hits the shelves February 3rd. Copies will be sold at Dubs By The Pub in Qld for a discounted show price. Subscribers receive theirs end of January.

Cheers
Craig

The new site did not quite load properly and left out one preview story. It's now been uploaded to the site. It's the Split Bus story 'Sea Blue'.

Funny you should say that.

Andrew Seymour, VWMA photographer, will be travelling to Darwin in April/May this year.

So, if there are any stories I need to know about that I haven't already got, send them through fast.

On page 23 of the latest issue, I have written a caption " Top of the class if you can spell Schwimwagon"!

Well, it would seem that my spelling of said vehicle, which I took from the front of my Tamiya model box and checked through a few sources, is one of four variations;

1. Schwimwagon
2. Schwimwagen
3. Schwimmwagon
4. Schwimmwagen

Although this topic is unlikely to affect the way the world spins, is there a definitive answer as to which version is correct?

Got mine last week, thanks Craig.
My kids read the issue before I got to and there only 4 and 2. 🙂

Also thank you for taking my call earlier today.
Craig had to pull over to take my call and was really helpful. Many thanks.
Keep up the good work and look forward to the next issue.
