Just thought I'd post some piccies of an extra bed we made for our 74 Kombi.
As we needed to sleep 5 (2 adults + 3 Kids) we needed to find room for another bed in the van.
(As this is a 'one night' setup we didn't want the hassle with the bringing the tent as well)
90x45 pine supports (x2) spanned from front seats to dash with a 12mm sheet of mdf with 50mm foam on top - cut to shape along windscreen.
Very cheap and simple.
The little bloke loved it.
