A friend of mine picked up a set of heartlights and 2 sets of early 60's 2 tone lights for 100 bucks. He scores!

C'mon kids gather round,
there's a new sensation hitting town,
It's moving straight, low to the ground,
it'll pick you up when your feeling down.

I have an old trail and track mag with a review of the 92 WR250
They are basically a YZ250 with a larger tank, different gearing and a lighting coil
enjoy it I have a 91 YZ125, good solid bikes 👍
Sounds like a bloody good deal cause those chinese minis are craaap
Cheers and get some pics

dont want to be a smartass, but that bike you posted a picture of is a completely differnet animal to what you have, thats a 4 stroke WRF250 which only began production in 01 if memory serves.
The bike you have is a 2 stroke enduro version of a YZ250 (not to be confused with a YZF250, 4 stroke again) which have been in production from 89 through pretty much to present, although the last ones have been Australia only models modified by Yamaha Australia.

correct chewy. mind you, if he actually got what was in the pic for a pocket bike trade then it was even more of a deal.

'm presumong you got one of the rare off roaded yz 250 two strokers as chewy said.

they should have an adr plate somewhere (unless its only a mxer or its been stolen). if it is one of the rare off roaded yz 250 two strokers and the power comes on too fast for you, try a flywheel weight or other similar cheaper measures like big heavy rear tyre or a bit of water in the rear tube or run it rich ect.

Unforutatley only the 89 and 90 models have compliance plates, not sure when the started being ADR'd again maybe in 98.. but damn it would be fun to rock through maccas drive through on pretty much a YZ250 .

thanx for the info! this is my first dirt bike and im loving it. And yes, at the moment the powerband is a bit scary but i guess after i have it for a while i will get used to it and eventually crave it lol. Im about to go down and get a new clutch cable and see if they sell gasket sets or anything... its leaking a bit of gearbox oil... Dont get frightened this moto wont take over my vw passion... lol

and no the bike isnt stolen, guys dad bought it for him 4 years ago then his bros sold their bikes and so he had no1 to ride with and just wanted a pocket bike to muc round on... but i sure did get the better part of deal... finally.

cheers
