I love the berg shifters - wouldn't be without one now I run one in my bug. I hope to have one for the splitty down the track - did you order it directly from Bergs, or another supplier?

Just two bolts to just change the shifter. The gearbox was rebuilt when I put the Suby motor in. So it's all real tight now 🙂

Now you just need an ensuite...

Seriously, you haven't been banging your thigh with it in a bus?

😂 I got pop-out windows for my birthday this year, so nothing wrong with a shifter as a gift in my books! 😉

Hellbus--I just got my shifter in from Berg today. The one I rec'd has a chrome bar and a polished handle. Looks like the one in your pic is black. Did you custom order that? I didnt see that as an option when i ordered mine......

Kind of sux that Berg cant put pics on their new site!

Just came with black handle. I assumed it would be black, didn't really think of it being polished.

Have you put it in and done some race changes yet?

I am glad the gearbox was reco'ed to perfection, because there was no warranty for non VW motor or aggressive shifting. Done both and still goes pretty ace after 6 months. Going drag racing at Heathcote in a few weeks. 🙂
