Today I started work in the workshop area of the Belridge Senior High School, here in Perth. There, much to my delight is a 13 window splitty Kombi in very restorable condition, which is being worked on.
Lucky kids. I never had that sort of opportunity when I was school kid in the 1950s. Admittedly if we had the opportunity we would have worked on a 1930s car, but nonetheless kids don't realise the privileges that they get at school these days.
