I've got 14 X 6.5 on my bug and they fit under all the guards (just).

on a bug. i got 225s on the back i think, maybe next size up, what ever 8 inch wide is, used to be a baja but looking at getting a stock looking one cause i need to divert attention away from myself and a bright orange baja does turn heads.

in that case a 195 sits pretty nicely on my widened rims (not as wide as yours probably) but 205s look phat in a cool but attention-attracting way, although they may eb fine on wider rims. if you can fit the rims u have under your guards i would recommend either of these sizes as there is no need for anything larger in such a light car. i found infact that the 205s slid on gravel carparks as if they were ise on the type3, but my 195 stick to the road so hard that my 175 fronts are the first to brake out. these 2 sizes are also probably the easiest to source new or secondhand, as so many generic cars use them (205 15s on some commonbores 195s on a many of the larger jap imports)
