The subject of what to pack in your Kombi comes up from time-to-time, so I've added a page to the aussiekombicampers web site where anyone can post their "Kombi Kontents", including tips on what tools/spares/camping kit/conveniences to carry in their Kombis.
I've set the ball rolling with the Kombi Kontents of my double-cab, and it's appalling how much junk I've accumulated.

Visit:

http://www.aussiekombicampers.com/kombi_kontents.shtml

to post your own Kombi Kontents or just to laugh at others excesses.

Damn! How does the thing even move with all that stuff in it! I know the scout motto is "be prepared" but do you use all of that stuff? 🙂 I couldn't even change the tire with what's in my bug, but then again I don't take very many long trips.

Schmoburger I think you have more in your Kombi than I have in my shed. :P:P

When driving my Kombi all I carry is Me and sometimes the wife and my 4 kids and thats it. (no spares. nothing)

When I first brought it (sight unseen) I drove it from Melbourne to Toowoomba with only a small handful of tools, even the seller was concerned as he never drove far from home.

Il stand behind my record of 12 years of driving all sorts of old cars and never once stranded (plenty of problems but always limped home).

Tehehe, that's a list and a half Schmo! Can people actually fit in there too? 😂

Wouldn't it be awful if you were out and about, something happens, and you don't have the part you need to fix it?
I'd be mighty surprised if that came true! (hoping I haven't jinxed you now) :P
