Well.. it'll work out for ya 👍
I javent seen the damage first hand, but from what the pix sho, I reckon its not as big a deal to fix as it looks...I think the only thing that will be a big hassle is finding the panels...once you have them, then the corner can come out, hence the battery... then just a matter of stabilising the metal and then welding the new bits in....I imagine the munted side panel could be fixed with sheet metal. the intake might come up reasonably well with a good hammering and bending until you find another.
The only thing that worries me is that it looked as though the roof had been pulled down slightly upon impact...as if it had bucled a tiny bit at the middle section rear seem could be an optical illusion tho.
just as a thought... could it be possible to graft in late bay rear corners on both sides and put on a late engine lid to match? 🙂

yeah I was thinkning of cutting out and then straightening and then enlisting the help of an expert to put the corner back on. As I haven't really got any where to do it.
The chassis seams ok and it drives as bad / good as it ever did, so its only consmetic.
nothing wrong with the pop top or roof I worried about that too, there is a small crack from the accident but that was probably due to the hinge is bent from where I had to break in when I locked my keys in, and it is not secured fully ;-)

:-) thats the spirit! definantly not an option to wreck it. Good news about the damage being only costmetic... hammer and bog and you will be styling shortly.
yep... lets see that beast on its way back onto the road again! 👍
If any panels or bits come up then I'll let ya know.

dude I am sharing some of your pain tonight. took my 2yo to the shops to give the very pregnant missus a rest and some selfish twerp backed into my brand new pug 307 while I was inside, did a runner leaving no details and left me with a $500 excess to pay...😠
If you find the guy (Or gal) It'd probably be best not to post the details here.

there is no way of finding them, there are no cameras in the car park and no one was around it seems. 😢
Maybe its easier to get a decent wreck and move your running gear over. Thats the approach I've taken.......doesn't allow for the sentimentle attachment to the old girl though!!
if he found a decent wreck it'd prob still be easier to take the panels off it than to swap running gear over...i'd assume anyway.. and that would allow for the sentimental attachment too! 👍
