I've read reports and understand why slammed swingers suffering from oil starvation in the hubs, but are slammed IRS bugs prone to the same thing? I can see reasoning for both sides of the argument. Any ideas?
IRS does not rely on gearbox oil for the outer wheel bearings. The bearings have their own greese supply.
There could be an issue with the CV joints being worked past their safe working angle. Some CV joints can also operate at greater angles than std T1 CVs.

Yep only oil in the box no enclosed axles or reduction boxes
IRS lowered has no real detriment on the CV angle. My 1302 was riding on the bump stops and the shafts were almost straight.

Hi
You can buy a special bearing that is sealled with its own grease supply from a bearing supplier. The problem with oil starvation only occurs after prolonged driving on straight, smooth roads, something your unlikely to find in NSW.
