I've rejoined the dark side, I am once again a f**d falcon owner. (because T4's are just too damned much for what you get) Which means the kombi is now surplus to requirements. This is not a for sale ad, so I am not contemplating abiding by the buying and selling rules. Without the emotional reasons, I would like to know peoples opinions on whether I should strip or sell.

Basically, its un ugly vehicle. There is not 1 straight panel on it. Not one. (people generally give me room to change lanes now) It has started to develop rust along sills. It has usual rust below quarter vents. Usual rust under the roof gutters. A little bit worse than usual rust lower left windscreen. Theres rust beginning in the front footwell. There's not much paint left on the roof. The front bumper is straight, the only external good point.

Mechanically its kinda good. There is a clunk in the front left over bumps, the steering box is standard kombi in need of new cover. The engine leaks oil and has a very soft LH head that needs replacing. Other than that.. it was rebuilt 2 years ago and should be pretty solid. (both heads were reco units but obviously the core wasnt up to it) The 1800 gearbox was rebuilt by Shimo in about november 2004 and has done approx 10,000kms since (have reciept listing parts)

Interior wise is your standard kombi stuff. Brown vinyl, a few split seems, made my own trims and covered with corolla upholstery which Jay hates 😉 Has the standard rubber floor matts in good condition. No working heaters, petrol gauge is shonky. When I fill the tank I feel good as it increases its value somewhat. Rego is up in Aug.

Would anyone be interested in such a vehicle or should I just set about stripping it for sale at nationals.

Hehe.. well mate, I'd buy it straight up rust and all if I wasn't so f*** poor-ass!... kombi's do have that effec ct on ones bank balance!... a cheap second kombi'd go down sweet. 😂

Anyway tho, needless to say I prefer to see kombis compplete and driving, and i koknopw of a few crazy backpackers/hippys that'd pay stupid prices for a kombi... no matter what the condition, so Im saying dont part it if its regoed and drivable... if it were out of rego id maybe advise otherwise, but it aint! 😉

Anyway, could ya u2u me price your lookin at for it... I know a couple of people who may be interested in buying it as a whole as it is now... one is a kombi enthusiast too! 👍

maybe some pics too?

Cheers mate!
