Is this from a notchback, fastback or squareback?

There are two shapes for the ends of these seats. The later ones were just a large curve on the ends, the early ones have small "ears" which fitted around the rear side arm rests.

If I'm correct this is the early one. Terry, is it the one you picked up off me a couple of years back?

They fit in both Notch and F/B but is best modified if fitting to the later Fastbacks or Notches with the lumpy or no rear arm rests.

The attached pic shows the early model (1500S) seat.

It would have been out of a 1964 1500S and the fellow I got it from said it was the rustiest car he'd seen! I don't think any of the Fastbacks ever came here in 66 with the large radiused ends seat with centre armrest. There seemed to be quite a few around England etc.

I got two backrests from T3 Detectives in the early to mid 90s, one for my sons car....... not sure if that one still exists and the other went into a 69 Notch which is still around here in the Hawkesbury (Cattai). The seat in that car had the end frames cut and the ones from the early seats brazed in so it would fit the 1500S side armrests. The whole interior of it was 1500S.

Are you coming down to Nambucca this year?
