The End of an Era (well, for me anyway...)

This morning i watched as my Oval drove away with her new owners. Four years to the day since i first laid eyes on her.

It took only 4 weeks to sell, and I only showed one person, the rest i interviewed over the phone and worked out they weren't the ones. She almost went to the UK at one point but im happy that she is staying here.

I think i picked the right family to take over. The man is a panel beater by trade and will be pulling her apart and stripping her back to bare metal for a full respray straight away. I wonder if he will get to see the taxi gear under all that black and red. After that the seats will be sent off to the trimmers and new carpet and headliner installed. He wants to keep her original as possible and Im glad they will take care of her in ways i never did and that the ride will live on for others to enjoy.

I want to thank all my friends who have helped my over the past 4 years with my car. Yesterday at the Nationals I was kept busy chatting to so many cool people and its all due to a little yellow bug. Im getting all teary,
