I have my rat ute, it has 17' Merc AMG rims on at present, I an not a avid lover of these but they look good, I have a T4 and have some wheels for this Van, SO, I thought I would try the T4 17' alloys on the Ute.

Please tell me what you think.

Which ones shall I keep for the Ute!

thanks

Andy

Go the alloys Andy! The AMG look cool but those 17's are real sweet. I had to bite my tongue when at your place, they nearly left on my T4. The money situation pulled me up. They are a real nice looking wheel. The ride wont be that bad, you buggers up in northern Tas have only got good roads anyway.

yeh, AMG and lower it... the new alloys look too new...if you know what I mean... The best thing about AMG rims (merc ones, not the AMG Alloy Wheel brand) are that they look friggin tough and not racerboyesque..

It sure is in the eye of the beholder!
Thing is Andy claims its a "rat" ute!
They are both lush looking wheels I gotta say! Those things on the rear would look cewl on my F-Vee!

Pimping it up that kind of wheel bling kinda goes against the "rat" grain dun you reckon?

Get some old 14" Sunraysias and paint 'em matt black Andy!
Keep the "Rat" thang happening!!!

well you asked...lol... i prefer the look of the spoked wheels... personally think that if you are gonna wheel it up then you need a wheel that "does" something and has a look that attracts peoples attention to it.. the AMG's - while a nice look on mercs - dont really have that effect.
but hey... what do i know about wheels?
and besides Andy... surely YOU have more wheels to choose from??? 😂

Yeah, what's that all about? Do you mean theves, police saying 'They're too big' or people who'll be critical about an old skool VW with alloys?

I thought that was the classic rat look, an old worn and tired volksie and some, horn as, bling arse wheels coupled with a kick arse donk.

tis close!

having a 1835 power donk built and the wheels, well sliding towards stock, may go stock t5 steel rims as they are 16' with red walls!
