I would like to give a VERY special BIG thanks to Jon (jonnyb on avd) from Redbank plains!!!

He tracked me down a pair of wide eyed baja guards, and delivered them to my door. Mate, UR A CHAMP! (Appause and graditude),

Jon, you a champ mate. when i get this car running, i gotta take u to the pub and get u a drink.

by the way mate, Still haven't finished deciding with guards and the like. Will want to keep a spare set in case one gets smashed or whiped off by a tree or something.

However, my auto transmission isn't going to be used. and is still in good nick. got some big bold letter code on the side, like those used in IDing gearboxes during reconditioning. Was shifting fine, and was working well as a driver for an old lady. so should be in VERY Good condition.

U want it? I won't be needing it.
What kinda other parts u got in ur treasure chest mate?

New engine in process: 94mm p&bs, 74mm C/w chomol Crank, 35.5x39 SP heads, turbo. Wierd combo, hopeful torque monsta!

MMMmmm........John is pretty good with bits and pieces (and, of course, has a heart of gold).......he has taken beetle bodies and engine bits away from here to help other people in their search for the stuff.......hope the guards look good on your beastie.........will have to bring Igor (my Baja) over and introduce him to your new Baja.

Good idea keeping the extra guards........we have spare kits here 'just in case' something happens to Igor.......better to be safe than sorry!!!!!!!!
