Yeah a Quaife would be sweet. The GTi badge isn't on the front because it's not a GTi (and it looks smoother!). The one on the back will go as soon as I find the correct GLS replacement. I think it looks a bit posery if it's pretending to be something it's not. Like WRX badges on poverty pack Imprezas!
That said, I do want to add the period GTi stripes down the sides because it will tie in with the black wheels centres when I paint them. But I figure the stripes don't say "GTi" so that's ok with me. It goes a hell of a lot quicker than a stock Mk1 GTi anyway.....
Just needs the injection and the 5-speed now!

Those cars are very cheap over here. There rare but usually you can find one for like 500-1200 bucks.I'd love to see one with a 2.0L turbocharger out of the 06 GTI..if the new GTI does 13's stock in the 1/4 mile can you imagin what that would do? 😂

funny, almost all those pics with the new bbs rims make the car look like its travelling and doing a powerslider past the bend there,
