I'm in need of a thermostat for my cab. I've rang all the obvious suppliers but I keep getting the same answer, "No we never put them in, just remove your flaps" etc. Well I don't want to remove my flaps, I want to keep it as God intended so does anyone here have a thermostat or know where I can get one please:thumb

I wish you luck, I tried to get the linkage rod that runs through the head and the thermostat secondhand a while back and had no luck. Let me know how you go. I want it so I can get the engine to warm up properly so its not running cold half the time.

I think CIP1 sells them...

Volkswagen Australasia instructed mechanics to take the thermostats out, either when the car was new or at the first service... and throw them away...

Also keep your flaps..... You can have them brazed or welded open....
