is there anyway of easily determining if a front end is still straight it is removed from vehicle for rebuild and since the car has had its fair share of air time (jumps) id like to make sure its die straight b4 it goes back in it looks ok to the eye but with the v6 and new chassis i need 2 know 4 sure

The easiest way would be to place a straight edge along the tubes and also look across both tubes to see if they are in wind.
When you put the beam back in and bolted up check measure front to rear on both sides.

what would be an acceptable tollerance??? i take it you'd measure back to top then back to bottom each side on the shock tower
