Was wondering, where would I find chassis no's, compliance plates etc, on a 54 bug? and what do the numbers mean??

That is pretty early....
I know late 50s beetles usually have a plate near the spare tire/ behind it ??
and the chassis number should also be under the rear seat under the oval piece of metal... on the tunnel...
chassis numbers: 575415 to 722934
