Yes,
An 11AO900 means its 900mm long...

Its supposed to be 10mm x 900mm for all 6 volt Engines..

VW part number: 111 903 137

Best to use only VW parts....

Always carry a spare fan belt.... if it breaks... Your engine cooks....

I cannot remember if 11A0 means its 11mm wide....??

I used to sell belts years ago.... I think its just a code...

Belts for 12 volt Beetles is 10mm x 905mm

or 111 903 137 BG

and alternators have special belts: 11.3 x 912mm

or 111 903 137 E

The A ref to the section ie the profile & I think that's the thinnest.
B, C means the belt gets fatter.
The shim adjustment on a VW means it's critical to have an A wheras the others do it by moving the gen in & out so it's not so impt.
890 sounds right I can check on oa 36hp I have in the shed

Just checked. It's 905. Mind u it's 12v with a 356 gen & the pulley looks a bit oversize. Also the belt is "riding high in the saddle" ie right on the outside of the pulley so 890-900 sounds good to me.
