Looking at new company cars at the moment and am a little keen on a Subaru Liberty Wagon. The 3.0 has a Flat 6 and pumps out 180kw and the 2ltr Flat 4 Turbo GT pumps out 180kw. Both nice cars that will do nicely.
Anyone here had any experiences with the new Subies???:thumb
2 guys I work with just leased the spec B 3.0 in the sedan & wagon both are more than pleased and got good lease deals all up cost 50k for the top of the range. I got the new Maxima Ti for 40k through leasing good way to save on running cost another friend paid 34k for a Golf TDI 2.0 comfort line.
6 would be better for towing. keep it till the warranty runs out then put a to4 turbo on it. 🤘

dad has the turbo and has driven the 6. says the gearbox ratios in the 6 are all wrong. like in 4th at 60 its sitting to high in the revs and in 5th its to low. something like that. i has been inthe gt and it goes like no tomorrow. doesn't feel like its pulling but the speedo climbs way to fast.
trunk monkey, because sometime getting your car back just isn't enough
The Gts go hard not sure about the 6 have been in one but didnt cain it!! Turbos can be changed or adjusted.. hehehehe MOOORE Boost😏

I would definately go the GT the flat 6 is good,l but I thought the turbo was a much better engine over all. Best thing you could do is take them both for a drive and then compare any extra fuel compsumtion and insurance cost you may have.
My understanding is that the GT is not available until next year. The 2006 model would not have satisified the new emissions test from 1 Jan this year, and Subaru are waiting till 1 Jan next year to release a 2.5litre GT.
So if you are leasing now, you won't be able to get an 06 spec GT.
tubo 4 dean :thumb:thumb:thumb:thumb u got the 6
Thanks for the feedback all. I am leaning towards the GT too.
True beleiver. the 2ltr Turbo GT is an ex demo car so not new but only a few K's and 05 plated. Thats the only down side really. Brand new B Spec vs practically new GT. The costs are about the same.
insurance is a few grand different between them
