Hi, I have a couple of 914 tachos and will be using a Mallory Unilite dizzy for my project and was wondering if these will be compatible i.e. will the tach register the signal from the dizzy correctly? as i really don't want to use an Autometer Tacho. Cheers Damo.

You should be ok with the 914 tacho. The early 70's 911's with CDI ignitions need a tach adapter to create the signal (pulse) with standard points.
When you hook it up you will soon find out.

Have a look at this web site for 914 wiring diagrams - http://www.pelicanparts.com/914/914_electrical_diagrams.htm
