All these people bitching about not getting tickets... about the site being chockers and the phones being chockers. What on earth did they expect, even without scalpers this was going to be big. I was lucky that my boss wasnt in today and 3 of us spent 90 minutes hammering the website and the phones for tickets and got all we wanted, all pretty good tickets, (brisbane almost exactly where I wanted) for 4 games.
But the friggin scalpers piss me off. Have a go at ebay, there are dozens and dozens on there already at very obscene prices, 4 tickets for sydney only 3 days are at $10,000 , and 2 ticks for adelaide are at 650GBP Damn scalpers. Makes me want to go in and bid for them and then not pay.
Pisses me off when it would be so easy to stop these arseholes if the powers that be had any sort of will to do so. Cricket australia could make you put a name on the tickets before you buy and make you show that ID at the gate. Ebay could ban ticket sales above face value. Government could make it illegal. They just dont give a rats.
Same deal for all sports/concerts. I believe Splendour has some ID thing going this year but everywhere else are wankers.
If people are stupid enough to pay that much for something that is free on TV then good on them!! They are saying they will cancel tickets offered for more than face value. A bit hard if they dont know what the ticket numbers are. Every man and his dog would know that scalpers would be in on this. Too late for them to start taking action now.
Who is crazy enough to pay THAT much money though? If thats the price now, what will they be 'worth' in November/December.

you must remember the poms have a 2&1/2 dollars to the pound advantage on us poor aussies. so $10000aud becomes 4000pounds.
