This is my Volkswagen, there are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me my Volkswagen is useless, without my Volkswagen, I am useless.

Oettinger were making twin engine GTI's and Sciroccos back in the 70's and 80's for the Pikes Peak challenge. Not as wild as this one, but they had two 16V 1.8L putting out 170bhp each mated together through a modified auto box.

Steve. Classic 85 Mk2 2dr GTI 8v Optioned sunroof and 15"BBS RS alloys. Koni yellow and H&R, Balanced bottom end, flowed top end, Neuspeed 268 cam.

Nice idea....keeping em in synch would be unbelievably painful tho I'd imagine.

Greyhound hit this issue with there Scenicriuser buses back in the mid-50's, which originally ran 2 4-cylinder diesel motors. They were such a pain in the ass that they re-engined them all with a single V8 in 1962... 😂

its ok for that Golf to get destroyed. Tis only a South African recent model CitiGolf. They are a dime a dozen. Here is an article on it, obviously pre destruction...
