I used to live in sweden and during the winter when they ploughed the roads, they'd put heaps of salt on them to stop the new snow from building up. But yeah, salting the roads made the cars there rust like no tomorrow. If you were looking at a 10 year-old car, you'd have to have a serious look for rust and chances are that you'd find it 🙁 (car advertisments would always specify if the car was driven in winter). Needless to say, there weren't many classics there.. such a shame

That said, I turned down an offer by an individual in New York to buy my Mini Moke... and my patience paid off because it was bought a moonth or two later by a couple in Toowoomba! 👍
