The steering box has play when you grab the pitmann steering arm you can move it up and down. Wanting to know if the adjuster screw will change this. Its a box from any oval.

Help any answers appreciated

Yeah the adjusment screw adjusts the 'mesh' between the roller on the main shaft through the steering box (with the pitman arm on it) to the other jobby inside

I have always used the adjustment screw to adjust the steering box play...
Wheels straight ahead....

I have heard of people also adjusting the large nut at the bottom of the steering box...
