So is it me or are RBTs like Maccas - would you like a bullshit fine with that?. Does everyone know that if your engine bay door is just a push lock, not a key lock that you are breaking the law.

So go get those padlocks pop riveted on boys and girls.

Be nice to tell her where to stick her baton, why is that so common these days with people in power, i thought the syndrome was called small cock syndrome, obviously it comes on even without one.

My XM Falcon only has a latch under the bonnet to open it by. It was never fitted with a catch that you have to yank on from inside the car to pop the hood. It doesn't matter anyway, I would be fined because the bumper bars are made of steel and therefore dangerous to idiots who get hit by me. Were they a young cop? They could issue you with a defect notice because your 1960's car isn't fitted with factory iPod holder?

My legal advisors have told me I cannot comment publicly. Needless to say Im over my 'police woman' fetish and back to good old Nurses.

iPods are illegal btw. Unless you are static.

I saw a policeman typing on a keyboard in his highway patrol car the other day with the engine running, surely that's got to be illegal too...oh that right, he's highway patrol, they make the law.🙄

Tell them to bugger off. If the car didn't come out with a lock for the engine lid when new, there is nothing they can do about it now as it complies with the laws in place at the time it was manufactured.

have been thinking about this sort of crap alot whilst overseas....

the police in greece were absolutely mocked... speedlimits dont apply... people drive cars that are U shaped from being hit and dinged up, body panels missing or scraping the ground at ridiculous speeds of 200km+ and there are no issues... no speed cameras, no rbts.. its relaxed..

authority figures in oz have set the bar much too high. soon life wont be fun. they are deadset sucking the fun out of me i tell you that much. too much $$ involved in it all...

but anyway

i didnt think that a current law can be made retrospective... ie your vehicle never came with a lock as a standard component, and they can not make you fit them. same with seat belts, unless you have modified the engine and stuff.

i have had them try for a variety of things over the years. but managed my way around all of em. including one time when i was pulled over (RBT at 11pm, pissing down rain on the F3) and the cops where argueing over my opened safari windows, sun glasses and drenched seating position with no seat belts and RPM guage on the dash. was a fine half hour chat that night.

its all just silly, back in scotland used to have a full race mini that was just road legal on a good day with a bit of luck.
got pulled over by the cops one day, asked what was wrong, was i speeding,?
no the guy was just liked mini's. and wanted a chat.
After the chat he said could I boot it to see how fast it went!!!
it was also quite popular to modify your mk1 gti's with keyless entry back home, would this be illegal over here?
