WTD: Adelaide Assistance (wheels + lowering)

Hi Guys,
I need some help in adelaide. My car (68 fastback) is coming back with me next week (to adelaide).

I'm looking to:

1. Lower (a bit)
2. Change rims (to below or similar)

3. New tyres + whitewalls

Does anyone:

have a set of rims (or know where to look)?

recommend anyone who can help?

recommend a service mechanic (I'm in brompton near entertainment center)?

etc etc................any assistance would be great :thumb

GHR are good
if you want a club mag with some details of adel vw mech
just give me your address and i will drop one around

also try roy at classic vw pacific for all your bits and pieces
i think jeramey in tass is doing all the beetle stuff now

356 wheels a 5 x 205 stud pattern . they are stock mangles . its cheaper to buy them chromed than to have em chromed , be careful when purchasing as they are usuallly 5.5 in wide and this will create difficulty when lowering the car at the rear. think hard about tyres too.

empi Cheers for the advice. Would love for you to lower the car.....it would be cheaper for me to fly you over though!!!! I think I've got it sorted though for now 😀 Wheels are 5.5". What are your thoughts on tyres? Where am I going to get into trouble?

You can get the OEM style MANGEL repop's in 4.5" width also (perfect for the front with 5.5's on the rear!).... They are cheap to buy but few places in Oz actually have them in stock.... You could always import them yourself.... But be warned... The chrome is shite!... Gotta keep the wax up to the chrome.....
