Spun the car on a wet road on the weekend and put the wheels into a traffic island and they are now rooted. Am looking for basic wheels w/ tyres to replace them. prices up to $500 would be good. Cheers guys.

I have set of stock type 3 wheels (same as late beetles) that you can have for $80.
They are not wide, need a clean but they are the same as the ones in the above pic...
Tyres are all pretty good. I can email photos...

Don't worry, I'm laughing WITH you.. i did the same thing in my 72 bug with ooooooold Hankooks on the rear. I buckled 3 rims... Don't scrimp on tyres mate.. They're cheap insurance. Just my 2c...
