Just some of the Type 3 vehicles seen in the street at Nambucca. Too wet to look much at Valla before an early exit back home via Old Bar.

Not sure if the highway was blocked at any stage today (Sunday) as a semi had crashed off the road between the bridges about 10 km south of the Taree/Old bar turn off some short time before 7.30 am. Only visable evidence was mud on the south lanes and the guard rail beat up a bit. Didn't actually look over the bridge but a truckie there said the driver was deceased and was thrown out and was lying in the mud.

After seeing how some of them were driving in the rain yesterday between Valla and Old bar no wonder they write themselves off!

Maybe you have guessed I only like Type 3s. The only good bits picked up at the swap meet was original NOS 1500S dome top pistons. Master Britcher in Adelaide will be pleased!

Also, the gentleman from Casino had a nice white 68 Notch which I think I'm right in quoting a purchase price "from a little old lady" of $1000. It's the one in the group with the Squareback and my notch in the first of the pics in this section. Another Type 3 saved.

Brendan, his name is Geoff (he'll tell you his surname!!!!) and has only been up there a short while from here at Nth Richmond. Not VW but a mad fisherman as well as hobbiest wood turner. If you go to the end of Medowie St and do a right he's the second house on left back from the corner (of next little street, not end of Banyula) in Banyula. If you take the corner a bit wide you'll be in his drive! Call and see him. Another guy up there is Bruce Whiteside, ex TAFE teacher and model aircraft builder. He came there some time back from Bathurst or Orange.

Sweet,
Osama made someone's pics 🙂 ta muchly!! (hes the moss green square at the top of the page)
Was good to see the 3's start to roll in on Friday. I thought I was all alone there on the Thursday surrounded by all those Beetles and Kombis

Did anyone get a pic of the slammed, chop top notch that looked like a Merc or similar? that was sweet. He obviously did a hell fo a lot of work to it.

Didn't realise Hotrodmatt put a few pics in the Rat/Rod folder before Valla.
That thing was nice.

I love type 3's. Am trying to talk the boss into letting me have a fastie but he tells me that 3 bugs are enough and that if I want to buy a fasty I have to sell one of my bugs and I don't have the heart to do that !!!!

I really liked the orangey rusty wagon. I thought that looked really cool !

the rear can actually lay the forks on the ground , but u need to use 145's because there isnt as much room in the inner gaurds as say a beetle , i kinda ran out of time to swap the 145's+ white walls onto those rims thursday night........ so 165 had to do ( although its probably a good thing in the end cos i coulnt help but drive it around the park all the way down , and with 145's on it could have damaged the sump badly around the park , so 165's bottoming out on the inner gaurds and limiting my lowering addiction kinda saved the day)

the front has the travel to bottom out the already clearenced lower beam brackets ( which im sure everyone heard as i cruised around the park in it 🙂 )

rear end is all custom and semi secretive :P
front isnt very trick at the moment apart from dropped spindles (although i will start on full custom front end now the valla rush is over)
also bags comming soon

the rat shoudlnt have smelt at all lol , its been sitting in a shed of mine for 4 yrs ontop of a fluro (the top side u could see had fur still , but the lower side was pure skeleton ) but yeah he came back down and will be back out in future im sure :P

hope it spun some heads :thumb

Yeah, cheers mate! Thanks heaps for that.

This probably isn't the spot for it, but here is a pic of my old 72 square. It was the 2nd car i ever had. The pic was taken on a polaroid, so sorry about photo quality.
