any ideas on price/options?Boostn wrote:Hi Guys,
We at Vollkommen Art have been doing the T3-T1 beam conversion for a while now.
There are many options when doing a T1 beam conversion, and some are a lot of work and do add up in cost.

You are quite correct avwboy.... Thats what I have done on my Notch... Worked a treat.... The torsion tube centres line up perfectly with the bulkhead impressions, which actually lowers the car around 60mm, then I trimmed the bottom TIII mount to suit the TI beam and capped it off to look kinda like the TI bulkhead mount.... Then I used a fabbed bracket (welded to the TI torsion tubes) to mount the beam in the factory TIII clamp area, which ties in with the body mount.....All said and done it looks nearly factory..... I have 2" narrowed, adjustable LP beam under my Notch with CB drop spindles about to go on... The only real problem I see is the loss in turning circle.... A small price to pay for added tyre clearance and a very cool stance.... And I would not expect any real loss in ride quality... Infact I suspect it will ride loads better than an equally lowered TIII beam!avwboy wrote:empi , do u mean to fit a type1 conversion beam?
if so i believe the conversion beams are made to bolt onto the original type3 frame head (but the lower section can be cut off and plated so the pan is the lowest part , not the clamps like normal)
