I need some advice please. I have a Type 3 with a recently rebuilt 1600 motor. I'm after a bit more performance from the fasty. Will extractors help? What sort of cost? Any suggestions please. Greg Canberra
There have been a number of posts on this topic in the last few months do a search for more details
Basic bolt on (no case splitting) upgrades are
Convert to dual twin throat webber or dellorto carbs
1:1.4 rockers
extractors
head work
Extractors on there own without better carburation won't have much effect. They won't hurt so you could put them on with a view to upgrading the carbs later.
Ain't nothin' like the wind in your hair.
I know it has been rebuilt.... But a 1641 piston and barrel kit there is no case mods at all... it a slight improvement and with extractors and compufire... would get it moving...
Carbs? no.... The standard Type3 twins are great up until you go bigger.. 1835/1916cc....
