I feel I have to give Micks a plug for great service. How about this, on Friday lunchtime I rang and put in an order for 2 front strut inserts and rear wheel bearings, when I was asked about the model year i told them and the lady said " Oh is it the light blue one!". Now I know there can't be that many around but they must see hundreds of VWs every week. Not only that but when I came to Oz back in '88 I worked in the print industry in Geebung just 5 minutes from Micks so was always in and out of there but around '92 I moved to Noosa and have rarely been back anyway my younger sister brought the beetle over from the US about 5 years ago and had to go to MM and they asked her does she have a brother who drives a buggy and then went on to describe me! Now I know I'm a real good looking guy and hard to forget........but how many people must they deal with year in year out! Oh and yea my shock inserts and bearings arrived on Monday morning. So while Micks give me this kind of service and pay this much attention to their customers I will keep on usiing them. End of sermon:kiss

Thats why I buy directly off VW parts specialists. The people at REP@O wouldn't remember your name unless you slapped them in the face. VW parts people are some of the friendlist people I know. I get the same feeling from MR Bug in Melbourne and if I lived closer to Mick Motors I am sure the same respect, kindness and work ethic would be extended from them as well.

Its good to hear.

You will usually get better prices from VW Shops like Mick Motors, as they are the importers...
then REP@o etc...

Naturally, I do buy Non VW stuff from the Auto O@e shop near by...

I feel VW shops do have to have Your interest at heart
and You car is the 2nd most important thing to them,
after You, of course..

I have been buying from Mick for about 10 years, and He actually sent Me an email late last year, to see How I was going...

now, not many other VW shops do that...
I have bought from many VW Shops from Victoria to Queensland but Mick got most of My business...

Mick and Christine are great VW people...

cheers

I've bought parts from Micks on only a couple of occasions and have been please with their service both times. I agree that specialists are like that. They care about thier customers and in turn a loyalty develops. If they don't have a part they also are happy to pass your business along to other specialists which is nice to see as well.

I fired an emial to them the other day list the bits and pieces I need to rerego the Baja. By the same time the next day Rohan was back to me with not just the prices but a break down of what everything costs. I said rubbers and he replied with individual prices for all rubbers in case I don't have to buy them all I suppose. Better then paying for rubber I don't need I guess.

I buy from butchers - not because I don't like the product at woolies or franklins but the people are nice, they say G'day and genuinely mean it when they say there have a good day or things are up the $h!t. Butchers have great service and are friendly and personal. They remember customers and provide good service.

I've bought from most VW shops and favour those that think and provide good service. Unfortunate it's hard to be biased between VW speicalists because they are usualy all very good at what they do.

i found mick to be great.

If we've had any problems, I knw I can call him...say the dumbest thing...he knows exactly what i'm trying to explain, and explains to mme in simple english what i need. last time i spoke with him, he saved me close to $300 bucks....

And my local budget does knwo me too...they just dont stock the things i need. But they know me well enough.

I just prefer MICKS .... they guys (and gals) there totally rocks my vw world.
