G'day,
I was just after the electrical mechanism thing that makes your indicators tick, tick... Mine just bust and need a new one. Alternatively can you get one from a shop that can easily be changed over from the original? I know my ignorance, but haven't had indicator worries previously.
Cheers,
Dustin
What model /year is your car?
Speak to BUGBOY on here he has a few relays from late 60's to early 70's

Ahh yeah that would help. Tis a 1974 Kombi ute.
Do you mean the flasher mechanism?
You can just pick one of these up from your local automotive store...

Dusto has been and picked one up. Glad to help. 😁
Yeh cheers for the relay Peter. All is working just like a metronome!
People go to great lengths to get a standard flasher unit to work the same as a VW original...
I've seen circuits for these on the internet..
Kombi ones must be either very expensive or no longer available...
I like the electronic twin pin flashers....
Only problem, the indicator lamp flashes at the same time as the blinker lights...
Original VW flashers, flash the dash lamp alternately..
when the blinkers don't flash...
You probably hadn't noticed...
