Hi just bought a baja and it has disks on the front. It has 4 stud hub with a adaptor to make it from 4 stud to 5 stud wheels. Is this legal? I am in QLD
Thanks
Steve

Legal and insurable are very different things.

This is what I went through:

I was told initially that wheel stud adaptors are legally OK to run in QLD. While the QLD DMT agree that a vehicle with properly engineered and fitted adaptors will generally pass a RWC, it seems that insurance companies take a dimmer view, based on the letter of the law which states:

"The vehicles wheels or rims must be DIRECTLY attached to the hubs, without the use of adaptors or spacers"

I'm insured through Shannons and they said definitely NO.
A POSSE AD ESSE.

I live in my own little world, but it's okay, they know me here.
