When I was removing the brake lines from the old master cylinder I snapped off the main line whic runs front to rear.

So now i have to replace it..

This pipe goes into the frame.

The under side is all solid & I have tried to pull this pipe from both ends & it feels like it is locked down.

So How is this done?

Car is not going so I want to remove & refit this pipe at home..

I will buy a length of pipe from repco & get the ends flaired by a brake company. I have pipe brenders at home etc..

I just need to know where to look as i must be missing something.. My T3 manual doesn't show anything about where the pipework runs in the cars etc..

Buy a complete set of pre-made brake pipes from Classic VW. I think it's about $40. I wish I'd known that when I did my Country Buggy pan - it would have saved me about $100...

The brake line is OUTSIDE the central tube/backbone; it sits against the base of the backbone where it meets the pan half

EDIT

But being a kit car, the pipe could be now anywhere!

Thanks for the tip with Classic..
Brake lines should still be genVW T3.

So if I take all of the poprivets out of the side plates then it should be at the bottom of the floor pan?

Cheers

It's normally on the drivers side along the tunnel where it meets the floor.

That is a type 3 pan, I think they were different to the beetle which did have the line along the tunnel
