Still looking...
A poky little Type 1 engine is wanted for the 356 replica
Would love a 1916 or bigger. Must be turn key.
Willing to spend around the 2 to 3K mark for the right engine.

i think you would be very lucky to get a turnkey 1916 or bigger for 2 to 3 k (at least one that isn't only a few k's off an expensive rebuild).
still you might be lucky.
not trying to be rude btw.

I suppose I can hope! That 2275 roller crank engine that sold last week was a bargain at 3500. I suppose I am looking for somthing similar. Worse comes to worst I can get a nice 1914 from the SAMBA landed for about 3500, but I'll keep loocking local.

i've contemplated getting a crate of engines out from the states (serranos) as there is quite a bit of cost in plastic palettes etc to do it one off. had a good chat with him a few months ago. let me know if your interested in the price breakdown.

it is a as41 case on its first line bore standard crank and rods scat c35 cam new 92mm pistons and barrels new standard heads full flow oil pump cb solid rocker shafts motor is bear at the moment was built for one of my cars but decided to stik with one bug in sted of two machining was done through a good mate called dubcustoms in dandenong it was built right .it also has a lighten flywheel i also have a pair of webber dcfn's which would be nice on this motor thay are old and could use a kit through them but they do come with a berg linkage kit which is nice 400.00 extra tho would make a good daily driver that is what it was built for.
