Seeing i missed out last week, i decided to have a go at this one..
It was good fun! I didn't come last... just second last, but everyone said i was doing well for a first timer!

Looks like heaps of fun. The photos look like colour versions of the ones my father has from the 60's when he used to do motorkhana's in his VW's.

good stuff Jo. looks like you had lots of fun. It's amazing how good you think you are as a driver til you do one. Makes you think so hard trying to remember the course and get the racing line right. congrats for having a go.👍

Thanks guys! It was good fun... pity the next one isn't on until January!
I would have ended up in the middle of the field on that run if i hadn't tried to do a handbrake turn on locked the handbrake on... oops! :P

if you unscrew the button and take the spring out, the handbrake just drops onto the floor after you pull it up. At the end of the event, just put the spring back in and screw the button back on and voila, ratchet works again. 😉

BTW, if you join a CAMS affiliated club (and get a CAMS license) you can usually compete in other clubs motorkhanas and that means having a go once every 2 months or so. Also, the $25 or so you payed on your temporary cams licence on the day contributes to the $40 license fee if you apply within 30 days. So get cracking and get yourself a license. :bounce
