How much would a pair of either Weber 48 IDF's or Dellorto 48 DRLA's go for?

Also, does anyone make scratch built narrowed beams to fit early bugs without bodywork mods?

how narrow a beam do you want ( as to the amount of body work ) and do you need or want shockies?

48's will be well over the $1k mark secondhand for a comp set with accessories.

and what he^^ said, a location helps.

I am going to relocate to NSW, I am over in the UK at the moment and wnat to know if it is worth shipping the bits and pieces I have here over there. :thumb

I am looking for a 3 1/2 inch beam chop to fit into an oval with no body mods. A guy does them over here from scratch but by the time i have got one here and then shipped over to OZ it will be pricy! Want to run shocks.

bring some CSP shifters and stuff over when ya come, I'll put my hand up for one. parts are cheap enough for regular bits but go-fast goodies getting expensive and freight is a bitch from OS usually.

Whats it like over there for getting hold of performance stuff? Do many people stock it. I am looking to put together a 2276, Rancho Box, CSP discs, full MSD, cage, nice rims etc etc. Basic cal-looker. Will i be able to get hold of this stuff easily? Are there many engine builders/stockists that are recommended?

CSP is VERY limited here. Import only - no stockists.
I have just acquired a CSP shifter. VERY nice.

People have Hi Po stuff here

That beam for $500 would be bare. A "finished" bolt in beam brakes to brakes is $'000's

I suggest you bring stuff with you - extra. And sell the extra to pay for the expense.

Seek out Boomerdog. He shipped a hot oval out. Yes it was painful but he may offer advice.
