On the way home a gentleman got on the train with downs syndrome - he would have been pushing 60 at least. At first he started chatting away to himself, mimicing the guard, then he walk down to the vestibule. He approached an asian looking school student and started to converse with him in Chinese - to which the student replied - "sorry I'm not Chinese"...."that's ok" said the man.....and started to speak Korean to him instead....

I know it's only a little thing, but it was just one of those moments that made you feel good about anyone with a disability - and to never judge anyone by their appearance.

downs (trisomy 21) is a very interesting genetic disorder..can have up to 215 malformations or variances on normal ,from memory, but only need 3 to be considered downs syndrome..most commonly mental retardation (can be quite slight) and tyypically distinguished ears ,eyes, tongue.....usually they love beetles (is that 216)
