Ok guys and girls, quick question. which exhaust is going to give the best of both performance and street quietness. i was looking at either the fatboy or dual quiet pack or whatever its called. its for a 1916cc so its gonna need to flow more than one for a stock engine but has to be fairly quiet. and which would look better. i was thinking the fatboy is nice looking but a goiod set of tips on the dual quiet would look nice as well. any ideas??

im always fond of the tuck away with the muffler parallel to the guard to allow ease of access for the valves

it shouldnt restrict it and it will be quiet. i ran one on my t4 and at 3500 rpm it was 90db so just under legal but barely noticeable once in the car

3500, i don't think ill be sitting on that rpm for long unless im going on the 100 zone, so that sounds good, would the dual quiet be quieter and does anyone know if they have a wierd sound due to the twin exits for a 4 cylinder?? and is the phat boy much louder than the hide away? i guess the sound from the hide away is up under the guard as well so it wouldn't be as bad.

Additionally fully merged gives better performance over semi - but semi fits better.

Dual is quieter at the expense of performance.

They are all semi merged in the VWTrends article. Have a look at the systems Penrose is selling. They are fully merged

apart from one of the vw store the only other place i can recommend is rapid exhaust as they make their own systems.
here is their website www.rapidexhaust.com.au
