Trying to rectify rough acceleration thought I would try changing the carby and distributor so here are the questions
1. carby on the motor has Solex 30 PICT 2 on the side, anticipated carby from donor motor has Solex 34 PICT 3 on the side, are they interchangeable
2. Distributor on motor has no vavuum advance, one that I am thinking of transplanting has a vacuum, I can see where the vacuum conection has been blanked off on the carby that is on the motor (PICT 2) and it is obviously there on the other one
3. Should I do both swaps at one time or start with one and then the other if problem not fixed.
Any advice greatly appreciated

I dream of a day when a chicken can cross a road without being asked for it's motive!
the 009 dissy would be the main cause of ur probs
just try swapping that and see how goes
u'll probably need an adapter to fit the 34pict 3 on the 30 pict2 manifold
i cant remmeber if they have the same base
31 pict3 is differnt

im in Lismore
34 uses a different manafold, u can buy adaptors to fit the smaller 30s/31s onto the 34 manafold but not the other way around......beleive me ive tried.
try rebuilding the carbie you already have.
also whats your points gap and timing like? it may not be the carby.
